"I'm a Mac" guy illustrates the declining education levels of American youth

I picked this post up on Mashable. I was intrigued to see what sort of SMS conversation a massively famous actor out of Hollywood would be having with a teenager.

The video above is hilarious. The teenager is an idiot and Justin Long plays along brilliantly (however creepy it is that he keeps it going for over a month).

But the saddest thing about this entire situation is Mashable's focus about this video. The focus is on a 2 second snapshot of Justin Long's iPhone and that one of the apps on his homescreen proves that he has a jailbroken iPhone (the original video linked from Engadget).

The focus should surely be on the incredible destruction of language caused by SMS communication, bad understanding of the English language and absolutely horrible grammar and basic spelling skills illustrated in this video. THAT'S THE FOCUS. Not the bloody jailbroken iPhone. What is the matter with these people?
